Although he’s never seen one, and
against the warnings of an old chicken-hawk,
Henery Hawk is determined to hunt chickens.
When the old-timer gets caught stealing two chickens
by Fog-horn Leghorn,he is kicked out of the barnyard
Henery asks the elder chick-enhawk if Foghorn is a chicken and he replies that he is a “loudmouthed Schnook!”
Foggy gives Henery one of his long-winded speeches
about keeping his eye on the ball (“Eye,Ball…Eyeball!
That’s a joke,son!”),but Henery deter-mines that
“Schnooks are sure noisy things!”Henery thinks the
barnyard dog is a chicken,but Foggy tries to set him straight.
They debate over his being a chicken and not a
“loud-mouthed Schnook.”Foghorn tries to prove that
he is a chicken by crowing at sunrise,showing a photo of a
cooked chicken dinner,then lying down in a pan;
and,finally,just talking Henery into believing.Henery
carries Foghorn home for dinner as Foghorn laments,
“I’m just a loudmouthed Schnook!”
